With nearly a decade of experience as a staff Spanish tutor at Florida State College at Jacksonville, four years as a substitute teacher in Duval County Public Schools, and one year as a high school religion teacher at Bishop Snyder High School, I offer one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions for students ranging from middle school to college age, as well as adults seeking to learn for professional or personal development. I offer online tutoring services for any location and in-person tutoring services in and around the Northside Jacksonville (FL) area.I offer tutoring services in the following subjects:- Spanish (all levels, whether you are a beginning student, preparing for college credit, or working toward fluency)- History (including U.S./American History, European History, World History, and Church History)- Religion (with a particular focus on Catholic theology, including Biblical theology)- Math (all levels up to and including Algebra 1).*PLEASE NOTE: I am a certified Step Up (SUFS) provider for each of the above subjects, and therefore eligible for payment through SUFS funds (both PEP and UA) for eligible families.

About Me
Your tutor: a teacher, a scholar, and a Catholic.My name is Gerald Lamb. I hold a Bachelor's degree in history from the University of Florida and a Master's degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish, and for nearly a decade I served as a staff Spanish tutor at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where I helped hundreds of college students build genuine, practical fluency. Prior to that, I spent four years as a substitute teacher in Duval County Public Schools, and most recently I taught high school religion at Bishop Snyder High School for one year.My approach is direct, structured, and respectful. You will find no agendas in my lessons that undermine the Catholic faith. Instead, you will find a tutor who respects your family’s values, understands the demands of classical education, and can help your child gain real confidence in Spanish – whether they are in Jacksonville, Alaska, Hawaii, or anywhere in between.I am available via Zoom or Google Meet for students nationwide, and in person in the Jacksonville, FL metro area.
